Office-assigned team members spend at least 50% of their time in a given month in their local office. About the Role

In this role you will build the initial pillars of OpenMeter's GTM strategy, from lead generation to deal closure. The OpenMeter funding team is highly competent in content creation and thought leadership. Your role will revolve around supplementing the inbound pipeline with strong outbound lead sourcing, establishing a good lead qualification process, and building a solid sales funnel. We're looking for someone with a strong background in enterprise sales to set the best practices for the future sales team. As a core member of our GTM team, you will work closely with the founders and the product team.

About You

You have good experience in the enterprise sales software role, preferably in an adjacent space such as observability, DevOps, FinTech, or open-source. You will work autonomously, so good self-organization, focus, and the ability to track progress are must-haves. Clear thinking and good communication skills are also crucial to setting good guidelines for the future growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with our CEO on the entire GTM strategy
  • Establish an outbound sales strategy
  • Identify potential leads and build the sales pipeline
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to break into new accounts
  • Book discovery meetings and gather information for future opportunities.
  • Work with the product team to establish the foundations of a good PLS motion
  • Create and document internal processes for the next sales hires
  • Evolve the toolset to support your newly defined processes
  • Accurate tracking of interactions and customer information in CRM
  • Maintain a professional social presence in line with the company's content marketing strategy to build awareness and trust with personas at ICP companies.

Minimum Requirements

  • You have 3+ years of sales or GTM experience in enterprise software
  • You are a native English speaker or bilingual
  • You have startup experience and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities
  • You understand corporate structures and decision-making processes
  • You are proficient in sourcing and managing pipeline through outbound activities
  • You have a strong grasp of the sales process and can manage opportunities from prospecting to closed-won

Preferred Qualifications

  • You have 5+ years of experience in direct B2B sales
  • You have 1+ year of experience working at an early-stage startup (< 3M ARR)
  • You have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • You’re familiar with sales tools and CRMs needed to source and close opportunities
