Overview

OpenMeter integrates through apps with external systems like Stripe, HubSpot, etc. Apps extend OpenMeter with additional features and seamlessly integrate with your existing workflows.

This documentation provides an overview of OpenMeter apps.

#Marketplace

You can browse the marketplace to find apps you want to install in OpenMeter.

Apps can have various capabilities like syncing data from or to external systems, Integrating with third-party services for tax calculation, delivery of invoices, collection of payments, etc.

#Billing Profiles

You can install apps with billing and use them in your billing profiles for:

• Tax Calculation: Calculate taxes based on location, product, or other criteria.
• Invoicing: Sync and deliver invoices via external systems.
• Payment Collection: Collect payments via external payment gateways.

For example, you can install and use the Stripe app to synchronize invoices to Stripe, calculate tax, and collect payments automatically.

#Default

You can install the same type of app multiple times to connect more than one account from the same external system or use different configurations for the same app. For example, you can install the Stripe app multiple times to connect multiple Stripe accounts. Each app type has a default app. When you install multiple apps of the same kind, O penMeter will use the default app when you don't specify which one to use.

#Lifecycle

Apps can be installed, uninstalled, and configured in OpenMeter.

#Install

To install an app, follow these steps:

1. Go to Apps in the OpenMeter dashboard.
2. Click on the Install or + button
3. Follow the authorization steps to connect the app with OpenMeter.

#Uninstall

To uninstall an app, follow these steps:

1. Go to Apps in the OpenMeter dashboard.
2. Choose the app you want to uninstall.
3. Click on the Uninstall button.

#Pre-Installed

Some apps, like the Sandbox app, are installed by default in OpenMeter for every organization.
